How to request deletion
Use either method — both reach the same place.
From inside the app
- Open Gymio and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Contact & feedback.
- Send the message: “Please delete my account”.
By email
- Email shamilpp4115@gmail.com
- Subject: Delete my Gymio account
- Include the phone number registered on your account, so we can identify it.
We verify every request before deleting anything. We confirm it comes from the account holder — otherwise anyone could delete someone else's account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
What gets deleted
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Name, phone number and password | Deleted |
| Profile photo | Deleted, including the image file |
| Progress photos | Deleted, including the image files |
| Attendance and check-in history | Deleted |
| Membership payment records held in Gymio | Deleted |
| Messages sent through Contact & feedback | Deleted |
| Sign-in sessions | Deleted — signed out everywhere |
What your gym may keep
Your gym is a separate business that uses Gymio to run its own operations. If it keeps its own records of your membership — in its accounts, or for tax or legal reasons — those records belong to the gym, not to Gymio, and deleting your Gymio account does not remove them. Contact your gym directly about anything it holds.
How long it takes
We action requests as soon as we can verify them, and complete them within 30 days at the latest. There is no additional retention period on our side: once deleted, the data above is gone and cannot be recovered.
Deleting some data without closing your account
You can delete individual progress photos yourself, at any time, from your timeline in the App. You can also edit your name and phone number from your profile.
To remove other specific data while keeping your account, ask us using either method above and say what you want removed.
